If there is one word that best sums up Italian people it is ‘passionate’. They are passionate about life, about food, about coffee, about wine and of course sport. This passion seems to get stronger as you move south and nowhere exudes passion like Rome and Naples. Both vibrant cities with a rich history and culture, and strong local identity – daily conversations, appear to the outsider as heated arguments, but are just exchanges which come from the heart. This passion is also seen in the architecture and the art – forming an emotional connection with the past.

Arrive by 7 pm on day 1
Arrival in Rome and transfer to the hotel by private car. After you check-in to your hotel the remainder of the day is at leisure, to explore or chill.

Today, you will discover the secrets of the Eternal City with the Hop-On Hop-Off Rome Bus Pass. Rome has so much to see that it can be a little over powering. This pass allows you to explore at your own pace and discover the unique history of the city with stops including iconic landmarks such as the Colosseum, Pantheon, Vatican City, and the Trevi Fountain. Commentary is available with the free use of headphones.

Today you will be avoiding the tourist hot spots and discovering more about the passions of this part of Italy. This special tour is dedicated to discovering the Roman lifestyle with a local expert starting in the vibrant atmosphere of a genuine local food market. Learn how to choose the finest ingredients, trying a few tasters along the way. Make your purchases with the help of your guide and enjoy a cooking lesson followed by a light lunch.

After breakfast, make your own way to the railway station to board your train to Naples. On arrival, make your own way to the hotel and check-in. Early this afternoon you will meet up with your private guide for a walking tour of Naples.

Note: Transfers can be pre-booked for a fee – but your hotel will usually be within walking distance of the train station or a short taxi ride away. Please let us know if you need private transfer arranging!
After breakfast you will join a cooking class and discover the secrets of authentic Neapolitan pizza! From the dough preparation, to creating the sauce and adding only the finest ingredients, your efforts will be rewarded as you enjoy your creation, hot from the oven. There will be plenty of opportunity to wlak off the excesses of lunch as you enjoy a free afternoon discovering the delights of Naples. Discover the Spaccanapoli quarter, with its boutiques and elegant shop fronts. Stop off at the Scaturchio patisserie to
sample some traditional Neapolitan desserts such as the Ministeriale cake – you are on vacation after all! Overnight in Naples.
Make your own way to the train station for your journey to Rome. On arrival your private transfer will take you from the train station to Rome Airport for return flight
