After breakfast you will enjoy a morning tasting tour followed by a pasta making class at a local restaurant. Your knowledgeable guide will walk you through Campo de Fiori, perhaps the most beautiful and ancient market in Rome. Located close to Piazza Navona, you will find a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, flowers and other typical products of Rome. Enjoy tasting on the go as you explore the market and local area; taste the most special Italian cold cuts, two types of balsamic vinegar, two types of extra virgin olive oil, two types of pate (the classic pesto and another based on seasonality), and wash it down with two liqueurs (a limoncello and a cream one of your choice). There will be plenty of time to make some purchases on the way, and your guide will keep you informed about the history of the area as you explore. At the end of the tour you can learn some key skills at the pasta making class in a Restaurant in Piazza Navona. Learn how to make the pasta from scratch and choose the pasta sauce you prefer, for example Amatriciana or Carbonara. Enjoy your own pasta for lunch with a good glass of wine.
The afternoon is free to walk off the excesses of the morning by taking in some of Rome’s many attractions. The centre of Rome is easily explored on foot and there are sure to be delights found around every corner.
