d’Elsa. The Hotel was converted from one of the ancient buildings right at the entrance to the “Borgo”
Hamlet part of the enchanting old zone in Colle di Val d’Elsa. Famously known as the birthplace of the
celebrated Renaissance Architect Arnolfo di Cambio, The ‘Duomo’ Cathedral of Florence is his most famous work.

Visit the fascinating Castellina in Chianti in the heart of the Chianti region, famous for its wine, Chianti Classico and for its Etruscan origins.
Easy-medium trekking tour duration approx. 3 hours where walking distance is a maximum of 10 km with an overall incline of 350 metres.

Trekking through the Vernaccia area to San Gimignano and its towers – Full Day
Our Tour Guide will meet you at the Hotel and drive you to Vernaccia, an area surrounded by the fascinating town of San Gimignano.
Medium trekking route around San Gimignano of about 15km with an overall incline of 500 metres, we may possibly travel by public transport alongside walking and private transfers.
Visit of the historic cellar of San Gimignano, guided by the owner, tasting of 4/5 wines with pairing of
gastronomic products of Tuscan cuisine (cold or hot dishes of the peasant tradition, depending on the
season, certainly a taste of local meats and cheeses is always expected), tasting of the extra virgin olive oil produced by the company, Vinsanto and cantuccini.

Trail of the Gladiator – Half Day
Our Tour Guide will accompany you around the Pienza hills surrounded by the amazing Valley d’Orcia, the area which stole the heart of the filmmaker Ridley Scott, who chose the place to shoot some of his most inspiring scenes in the movie “Gladiator”.
Easy-Medium trek, approx. 3 hrs walk of around 8 km and incline of 300m. A stride through these ancient roads will lead you to a beautiful and authentic farm, where it is possible to watch the process of making cheese from goats’ and sheep’s milk. Continue the tour to enjoy a tasty lunch served on the veranda overlooking this breath-taking landscape of the Valley d’Orcia.
In the afternoon, return to Colle di Val d’Elsa and remainder of day at leisure.
